Description
The project will be an object detection-based method for controlling mouse movement. The Human Computer Interface (HCI) is a user interface that allows humans to communicate with computers virtually. We employ a similar way to interface with the computer here by implementing a virtual mouse that can conduct cursor motions similarly to a real mouse. Colored object and marker motion tracking is offered as a method for controlling mouse movement. Based on object detection and marker identification, the project primarily focuses on mouse cursor movements and click events. OpenCV, a Python-based programming language, was used to create the software for mouse functions. Fingers were used as the object in the proposed work to accomplish operations such as mouse cursor movement. This method focuses on creating a virtual human-computer interaction device that utilises a Web Camera in a cost-effective manner
